Waterford Dental Team is growing, and we’re looking for a cross-trained pro who can do two things really well:

  1. support great dentistry chairside, and

  2. make patients feel taken care of from “hi!” to “you’re all set.”

If you’re a Dental Assistant who’s also interested in the front-office/business side (or already great at it), this role is for you. You’ll be the calm, capable connector between our patients and our practice. The person who can reassure a nervous patient and keep the schedule from turning into a puzzle missing three pieces. 🧩

Prior dental experience is required. This is a fast-paced, people-facing role where details matter and kindness matters more.

What You’ll Do

Patient Relations + Front Office

  • Answer patient calls with professionalism and empathy (yes, even the “quick question” that is never quick)

  • Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and help keep the day running smoothly

  • Check patients in and out with a welcoming, confident presence

  • Document patient financial and insurance responsibility with 100% accuracy

  • Collect payments for procedures performed and assist with past-due balances respectfully

  • Proactively call patients who are due for service or need to book

  • Use scheduling tools to fill cancellations and past-due appointments

  • Support morning huddles and help the team stay aligned

Clinical Assisting

  • Prepare patients for oral exams and assist clinicians with treatment and documentation

  • Provide excellent chairside support and patient education

  • Take digital radiographs/X-rays

  • Assist hygienists and doctors with charting

  • Take detailed notes and accurately record key information

  • Adapt to a fast-paced environment while keeping quality high

  • Learn dental software (or bring experience with it)

  • Maintain a high standard of sanitization and comfort working in a sterile setting

Dental Lab + Back Office Support

  • Sanitize operatories in accordance with CDC guidelines

  • Instrument sterilization

  • Stocking supplies and keeping rooms ready

  • Check in lab cases and communicate with dental labs

  • Assist with ordering supplies/inventory

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience

  • Proficiency in dental terminology, procedures, and equipment

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Excellent organization and attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize confidently

  • A team-first mindset and patient-centered approach
